Brushes in Photoshop

A brush is a tool with bristles, wire or other filaments, used for cleaning, groominghair, make up, painting, surface finishing and for many other purposes. It is one of the most basic and versatile tools known to mankind, and the average household may contain several dozen varieties. It generally consists of a handle or block to which filaments are affixed either parallel- or perpendicular-wise, depending on the way the brush is to be gripped during use. The material of both the block and bristles or filaments is chosen to withstand hazards of its application, such as corrosive chemicals, heat or abrasion.

DIY _ LED lamp

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-lead semiconductor light source. It is a basic pn-junction diode, which emits light when activated.[7] When a fitting voltage is applied to the leads, electronsare able to recombine with electron holes within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons. This effect is calledelectroluminescence, and the color of the light (corresponding to the energy of the photon) is determined by the energy band gap of the semiconductor.

Adobe Systems Blog _ Make Your Site Feel Faster by Changing Colors

It’s possible that people have visited your website and come away with negative feelings because some of the content loaded too slowly.

If your site features online games, for example, there’s often a several-second wait while the game loads, even with a blazing-fast Internet connection. The same goes for downloading movies and videos. And don’t forget that some people actually lack access to broadband and still have to rely on dial-up or other slower methods of Internet access.

A recent report published by Radware says the median page of the top 500 US retail websites takes 10 seconds to load. Ten seconds! (Yes, I was surprised too.)

How can color help?

Researchers have known for some time that you can actually decrease perceived wait times  by using more relaxing colors. So while you can’t really speed up the loading time of your site by changing its color, you can make your users believe you have. Crazy, huh?

NFC Tags _ For Android

Near-field (or nearfield) communication (NFC) is a form of short-range wireless communication where the antenna used is much smaller than the wavelength of the carrier signal (thus preventing a standing wave from developing within the antenna). In the near-field (approximately one quarter of a wavelength)[1] the antenna can produce either an electric field, or a magnetic field, but not an electromagnetic field. Thus NFC communicates either by a modulated electric field, or a modulated magnetic field, but not by radio (electromagnetic waves). For example, a small loop antenna[2] (also known as a magnetic loop) produces a magnetic field, which can then be picked up by another small loop antenna, if it is near enough.

Worst poses – Body Languages

According to wikipedia  :

In humans, posture can provide a significant amount of important information on nonverbal communication and emotional cues. Psychological studies have shown the effects of body posture on emotions. This research can be traced back to Charles Darwin when he studied emotion and movement in humans and animals. Currently, many studies have shown that certain patterns of body movements are indicative of specific emotions. Researchers studied sign language and found that even non-sign language users can determine emotions from only hand movements. Another example is the fact that anger is characterized by forward whole body movement. The theories that guide research in this field are the self-validation or perception theory and the embodied emotion theory.

  • Self-Validation theory is when a participant’s posture has a significant affect on his or her self-evaluation of their emotions. An example of this is an experiment where participants had to think and then write positive qualities of themselves in a confident or doubtful posture.[6] Participants then had to self-evaluate on how good of a job candidate, interviewee, performer, and how satisfied they would be as an employee. Mood and confidence level were also measured. Results from this study proved in favor of the self-validation theory. Participants’ attitudes in the confident but not doubtful posture, significantly affected their self-reported attitudes. A similar study showed that participants who were placed in a hunched posture reported were more likely to feel stressed compared to participants who assumed a relaxed position.
  • Embodied Emotion theory is the idea that mental events can be represented by states of the body. In a study showing embodied emotion, participants were primed with concepts of pride and disappointment by a word generation task. Researchers hypothesized there would be an observable change in participants’ posture based on the word they were primed with. This hypothesis was confirmed for the disappointment prime because participants were more likely to decrease in their vertical height or show slumping behavior.
